The Terps head back to the final four for consecutive seasons looking to build off of last season. The Terps fell to UNC in this exact spot last season, but this year's team is far better equipped to make a national championship run, even though they have a lot of the same pieces.
A year a go the Terps were a young team with many "experts" doubting them in the preseason. But the Terps surpassed even the loftiest expectations to go undefeated through the regular season, claim the ACC title and make a final four appearance.
That experience from last year of being on the big stage and looking for more than just the final four along with a hunger from last year are going to be a factor in Friday's game.
The Terps are also seasoned and their young roster from last year is now a very experienced team, that Coach Cathy Reese has her stamp on it after four years of rebuilding the program.
Those factors are not to be discounted at the Terps look to win their first national championship in nearly a decade.
The Orange matchup very well to the Terps and have a lot of mirror-like qualities so these little things will go a long way in determining who will advance to the title game.
